"ALCATRAZ PRISON" IN LONDON?

　　For the guest who's a sucker for punishment - a mugshot, a prison uniform and some charming prison guard personalities. It's Hotel Alcatraz ... but it's in London.

　　Four five by nine foot cells are identical to those at the real-life Alcatraz. And materials were brought in from the original prison in the U.S. - which stopped operating in 1963.

　　Guests must check in at 6.30pm sharp, but they can forget about enjoying five-star cuisine. Guard Jem Frazer says inmates can knit or use building blocks while in solitary confinement.

　　Jem Frazer,: "His clothes will be taken from him and he's got Alcatraz Operation uniform which is here for the rest of his 25-year stay, or maybe it's just for one night, depending on how he is."

　　Fortunately for this guest, his confinement will be brief. Hotel Alcatraz is a pop-up operation coinciding with the launch of the television drama series "Alcatraz" - and it will shut down for good on March 17th. (Tara Cleary/Reuters)
