The cast members have traveled to Los Angeles to promote for "Darling Companion," a romantic comedy that brings on Diane Keaton as a woman who loves her four-legged companion more than her life-long companion, played by Kevin Kline. Their future happiness may be in the hands of Freeway, a stray dog played by Kasey in the dramedy, "Darling Companion." Kevin Kline as Joseph, the man who lost his wife's beloved canine in the film, jokes that he didn't get along with the collie mix, in the beginning. "We patched things up, we had a little falling out. He's a method actor, and so he knew that my character was rather indifferent towards him, so he thought, 'Okay, two can play this game.' I'm a dog psychologist between jobs."Director Lawrence Kasdan, who collaborated with Kline for the sixth time, shares his take on Keaton's performance. "Keaton, I adore, I've always wanted to work with her. She's unusual, and she's a real movie star because her personality is so indelible and so singular and she brings it to this movie, she's just really alive." The search for Freeway turns out to be a soul-searching adventure for the long-married couple, who are growing apart by the minute.
