With a common goal, students from two universities in Taiwan are joining forces to help the local food industry.By repackaging the product and with the marketing methods that they learned in school, the students have successfully hyped up the values of local products.

In order to combine local production and marketing strategies to raise the values of product,Yungling University of Science and Technology teamed up with Kaohsiung University of Hospitality, grind the brown rice that used to take 40 minutes to cook and processed it to allow shorter cooking time, which in turn would save on energy while the smaller package allows for easy carrying.Yungling County also used locally grown peanuts to make molasses crisps with special packaging that cost the same as before while raising the value of the pastry.

The students from the Hospitality University used locally grown produce to make process food items while packaging designed by designing department students help attract attention from more customers. The effort of the two schools is being paid off as many manufactures are talking about mass-producing the items. The experience allows the student hands-on experience and help local food industries.
