Four students of Taipei's Da-An vocational high school have just been admitted to two of Taiwan's most prestigious universities, which is unprecedented in the school's 70 years of history, thanks in part to new policies on admission by both universities. After the founding of the Taipei Citys Da Ahn vocational School 70 years ago, this year marks the first time that students from the school received admission to National Taiwan University and National ChengKung University. Lin Yu Hsuen is one of the 4 students, who got into NTUs civil engineering department and thrilled while nervous at the same time. 3 years ago, Lin Yu Hsuen only received a 230 on the basic competence test while Yang Chih Chao, who gained admission to NTUs civil engineering and marine biology department, only received a 222 on the same test, however, after 3 years of hard work, they all got over 600 on their tests and passed the second stage of review and test, to them, nothing is possible as long as they tried their best. In fact, NTU and National Cheng Kung University opened admission to students from vocational schools, though the number is limited. NTU is only taking in 4 while all other 8 top universities only opened a total of 52 spots as vocational school students all hope that there are more spots for them in the future. ◆ 追蹤更多華視影音及圖文新聞: 1.用Plurk追蹤華視影音及圖文新聞:追蹤 2.用Twitter追蹤華視影音及圖文新聞:追蹤
