KMT's Taipei City mayoral candidate Hau Long-bing and his rival DPP Su Jan-chang have been appearing at respective events with their wives.

With their ladies on their sides, the two candidates appear to be trying to win some votes from the female citizens.

Taipei mayor Hau Long-bing visited the Chien-kuo flower market, which has been renovated into a smoke-free environment.

Accompanied by his wife, Hau greeted visitors and bought a pot plant for his wife too.

Given the popularity his wife has received, Hau said he would ask his wife to garner votes for him during the later part of the campaign.

At the same time, his rival Su Jen-chang was seen hand in hand with his wife Jan Hsiu-ling at a painting exhibition called "paintings of housewives."

Most of the works in the exhibition are painted by Jan.

And of course, Su is seen in many of the paintings.

While Jan said that she was not good in public speaking, she took 10 minutes to thank her husband for his support and put in good words for the calligraphy works by her mother-in-law and the paintings of her mother.

Su gave the spotlight to his wife.

Without much political talks, the two candidates are still trying to garner support from female voters over casual Sunday events.
