Candidates of the Xin Bei City mayoral race kept making new promises on their respective campaign trails yesterday. Tsai Ing-wen, the DPP candidate, said that she would create more jobs for the city by making it more investor-friendly, while KMT's Eric Chu pledged to upgrade the public bus service. During her meeting with the overseas business community on Tuesday, DPP Xin Bei City mayor candidate Tsai Ing-wen vowed to improve the city's investment environment and called on the group to create more jobs by investing in the city and upgrading the city's industries. The KMT's Eric Chu, meanwhile, discussed his plans to improve Xin Bei City's public bus network and hopes of working with Taipei City to increase the ratio of low-emission, low-floor, compressed natural gas public buses to at least 50%. Tsai is playing the economy card and Chu wants to make the lives of Xin Bei City residents more convenient. Both are hoping to win voter support. ◆ 追蹤更多華視影音及圖文新聞: 1.用Plurk追蹤華視影音及圖文新聞:追蹤 2.用Twitter追蹤華視影音及圖文新聞:追蹤
