For the weight watchers, you can certainly relate to this story. You monitor what you eat, you exercise on a regular basis, but as soon as you stop, you automatically gain the weight right back. How do you keep those extra pounds off for good? Here on CTS, we have the answer for you. Members of the Taiwan Medical Association for the Study of Obesity have brought back new weight loss concepts after visiting the International Congress on Obesity in Sweden. Experts say that those who are able to lose 10 percent of their total weight within the first three months stand a higher chance of keeping the weight off in the long run. This research also coincide with a study made by the University of Melbourne which shows that those who experience a drop of 1.5 kilograms per week are twice as likely to maintain their figures compared to those who only lose 0.5 kilograms weekly. However, the Bureau of Health Promotion is stressing that losing 0.5 kilograms is the healthier and safer alternative. Whether you're looking to lose those love handles in a fast or a slow manner, do follow doctors' advice of maintaining a regular exercise routine and a balanced diet. In addition, when you do shake those few kilograms off, control your appetite and commit to the new weight for at least six to eight weeks for it to be fully effective in the long haul. ◆ 追蹤更多華視影音及圖文新聞: 1.用Plurk追蹤華視影音及圖文新聞:追蹤 2.用Twitter追蹤華視影音及圖文新聞:追蹤
