We have good news for job seekers, because some of the main IT companies are in demand for more workers.

The world's largest semiconductor maker TSMC is expected to have 4,000 job openings, while Chimei Innolux Corporation is also planning to recruit 3,500 employees, along with its 100 job opportunities for its overseas management trainee program.

It's going to be quite a battle, with 3000 applicants sending their resumes in already, and up to 300 people showing up for the face-to-face interviews.

Major IT companies are in need of more manpower as the economy gradually revives.

TSMC is estimated to recruit 3,000 engineers and 1,000 technicians in the second half of this year.

Within 30 minutes after the job fair began at 9 o'clock, 20 job seekers came to look for an interview opportunity. Eyeing on the fame and benefit packages offered by TSMC, Mr. Lee, who recently graduated from with a master's degree from the micro electronic engineering program at National Cheng-Gong University, hopes to get it right at the first time of his job seeking effort.

At the same time, Chimei Innolux Corporation is also organizing the first of a series of huge interview events, to recruit 100 employees, who have working experiences of less than 3 years and a global vision, with the willingness to work in China, Eastern Europe or South America in the future.

The company has received nearly 3,000 job applications for 100 openings at the much sought-after program and says the competition is fierce.

But most job seekers say it seems much easier to land a job now than the last two years.
