Valentine's Day is not just for the young. A 91-year-old man in Chiayi chose this very day to renew wedding vows with his wife of more than six decades. And this time the bride has finally got the chance to wear a wedding gown, who she couldn't afford to do the previous time.

You don't usually see scenes like this in romantic comedy films, but the love between this elderly couple may be much more enviable than most onscreen romances. Mr. and Mrs. Chien, a couple living in Chiayi, have been happily married for over sixty years.

But there was still one regret in their lives. When they first tied the knot back in late 1940s, the bride didn't wear a gown at the wedding, because Chien couldn't afford it.

Six decades later, the 91-year-old husband finally got the chance and the means to fulfill his wife's long-delayed dream.

So the couple decided to renew their vows on Chinese Valentine's Day this year.

During the ceremony, they once again confessed their love for each other, and concluded with a kiss. At a time when more and more marriages end in divorce, their example does seem like a timely reminder of the true meaning of Valentine's Day.
