Three grade school students from Taipei distinguished themselves out of more than 2,000 competitors in an international martial arts contest in Hong Kong, winning a tally of 9 gold medals, and the youngest of them is only 8 years old.

These three young wushu athletes are practicing vigorously on their routines using knife, stick, and spear.

Every movement and training is taken seriously; as a result, these three students are the gold medalists at the 2010 Wushu Competition in Hong Kong.

Tsai Wen-ye, 10 years old, has been learning wushu for the past 5 years and specializes in knife and has won in sticks, knife, and traditional wushu categories.

Lu Yu-jun is the youngest of them all, who is only 8 and 120cm.

Despite his height, he has won in two Chinese boxing and one stick category.

Last is the only girl on the team, Liang Chen-xuan, who specializes in spears.

All three of them have their own specialties and have shone brightly in this international event and they hope that with their hard work and passion, they will continue to win in international competitions and furthermore, they hope that with their effort, they can make wushu one of the mainstream sports that can represent Taiwan.
