As the weather gets colder, it's time for us to introduce some winter delicacies to you. Today let's take you to Yunlin County to take a look at a special local version of sesame oil chicken.

After heating the wok by big fire, the chef is adding sesame oil and old ginger slices to make the flavor base. Few seconds later, fresh chicken meat is placed inside and stirred quickly, before a big amount of water is added and cooked until its boiling.

There is a special flavor in this pot you may not find in other places which is also the reason why customers keep coming back: The ginger sauce! In the Chinese medicine, ginger helps to prevent sickness in the cold winter days and to refine the taste of the main ingredient: The pheasant!

The owner of this eatery insists using pheasant, because its meat tastes soft and juicy; much more different than the usual chicken meat. All the pheasants they use have been held at the backyard under arecas, also their forage is of big knowledge. Customers were even positively surprised when they tasted the skin, because its not greasy at all!

As the top of the tops, we have to crown the rich soup, due to its great taste and seductive smell. No wonder that the pots bottom is becoming visible in less than 30 minutes!
