With more and more people drinking tea instead of beverages to maintain a healthy lifestyle, experts are reminding the public to check the labeling when it comes to purchasing herbal tea. First, make sure you are aware where it is manufactured, and do pour out the first brew to prevent pesticide residue on the tea leaves. Rose, lavender, crysathemum are all common herbal tea ingredients. Just by adding boiling water, one can easily enjoy a pot of relaxing tea. For some, it is also therapeutic. As a result, more and more herbal teas are marketed towards these health-conscious people. According to the retailers, some of these herbal tea is produced in Taiwan, as well as abroad; therefore, since there is no united standard on pesticides, the Consumer's Foundation said it would be important for the government to increase the frequency of random sampling in order to ensure the safety of the consumers in Taiwan.
