The Tourism Bureau has launched the nation's first official star-rating system, and out of the 24 hotels that participated, 8 have been recognized as five-star hotels. However, not all luxury hotels have taken part in the evaluation yet, with some questioning the value of the review for the business. It ranges from 1-star to 5-star and evaluates facilities and services, allowing visitors to have a better under The first phase of the evaluation involved a total of 24 hotels, of which 8 received 5-star accreditation. Still, many famous 5-star hotels, were not involved in this evaluation. They did not participate in this evaluation though they may participate in the next one, though they added that receiving this certification from the Tourism Bureau may not affect their business. The tourism industry also believes that the Tourism Bureau does not carry much weight with its certification, and if few hotels participate then the value of this program will be compromised.
