To mark and celebrate the 100th birthday of the ROC, a special edition of 100 NT notes will be distributed starting on January 6th, next year. 400 million bills will be printed for this centenary, along with other limited collections. The Central Bank's Director General of the Department of Issuing, Tsai Yan-shu said the Central Bank will issue special commemorative notes with the front having the image of Dr. Sun Yat Sen, in celebrating the centenary of the ROC. Above is a colorful 100 NT$ note and below is a more typical centenary note and if we continue looking, this is the third note in the collection. A total of 300,000 sets will be made with each one being created together with consecutive numbers and they won't be cut apart. The Central bank says that each person will be limited to purchasing just 2 of these sets and each one will sell for 500 NT$. Those who want to purchase it will need to line up on the day of the sale. Also, the Central Bank will circulate 400 million 100 NT$ centenary commemorative notes which are similar to notes already in use. They differ in that the bottom left hand corner on the back will have special text commemorating the centenary of the ROC. They expect these notes to be available before Lunar New Year next year as many people may be interested in exchanging their money for these crisp new notes. ◆ 追蹤更多華視影音及圖文新聞: 1.用Plurk追蹤華視影音及圖文新聞:追蹤 2.用Twitter追蹤華視影音及圖文新聞:追蹤
