Although Teresa Teng has passed away for fifteen years, her charisma still lives on for her loyal fans. The Taipei County Government has recently signed an agreement with the Teresa Teng Foundation to set up a memorial park of Teng in Jingshan, which will be a replica of her former residence in Hong Kong. This light green two-story house with a European-styled garden was Teresa Teng's home, which was last open to the public six years ago. The stucture has since been decommissioned, but the house along with Teng's furniture, will soon be reinstated at the Taipei County Chungshan Hall as a peripheral exhibit. The Teresa Teng Foundation has just signed an agreement with the Taipei County Government to set up a memorial park for the late singer which will showcase the original setup in which Teng lived in when she was alive, as well as her diaries, passports, and collections. Although Mainland China, Hong Kong, and Singapore are all competing to erect Teng's memorial establishment, Teng's brother believes Taipei County is the most suitable location. According to statistics, Teresa Teng's tomb receives about 7000 visitors every month. As her memorial park is only about a ten minute ride to Jin Bao Shan, there are plans to arrange a complete travel package deal that will include both tour spots in the future. The 1.5 hectare Teresa Teng memorial park is expected to be complete and open to the public in 2013. ◆ 追蹤更多華視影音及圖文新聞: 1.用Plurk追蹤華視影音及圖文新聞:追蹤 2.用Twitter追蹤華視影音及圖文新聞:追蹤
