As more and more public installation art can be seen in the cities, new ideas are also integrated into the these works. In Taipei County, you can find this particular installation artwork, which is based on the idea of the poem written by a visually impaired individual.

Two benches can be found on the sidewalk along Taipei County's busy Sianmin Boulevard.

Whenever anyone sits down on one of the benches, music begins playing. The benches are named, respectively, "Listen to Me" and "Look at Me."

In the daytime, they look like ordinary benches, but they illuminate beautiful optical effects at night.

The benches are installation art created by a group of visually- and hearing-impaired artists, and separated by a 140-meter span of ground lights displaying two Braille poems written by visually-impaired poets.

21-year old Chuang Fu-hua lost her sight and ability to speak during a fire.

Left with only her sense of hearing and sense of touch, she was unable to fulfill her dream of becoming a painter.

With the assistance of her mother, Chuang has now written more than 200 poems. Through her poetry, a busy city street has been touched with artistry and humanism.
