The Environmental Protection Administration has recently added a new regulation to encourage the act of recycling. Starting from March 1st, recycling bins will be required next to vending machines and within beverage chain stores. From March 1st, EPA regulations will require vending machines to set up garbage cans. This is something that most people are in favor of. The EPA points out that, in addition to parks, transportation terminals and those located in recreational areas, all vending machines must have recycling bins set up alongside them. Also, chain beverage stores beginning on May 1st, you must also establish a cup recycling system, or face the threat of fines. These industries are concerned about increased costs with the EPA reaching a consensus after several rounds of consultation. If the original location of a vending machine has a garbage can set up within 50 meters, then one does not need another one. Still, it must show where the nearest recycling bins are located. Also, removal and transportation is the responsibility of the site manager. Chain beverage stores also need to set up recycling of takeaway cups. The number of recycling each year in Taiwan is about 180,000 tons which is about a 67% recovery. The EPA hopes that after the new requirements are imposed, the rates can increase to more than 70%. However, unattended vending machines and their nearby recycling bins could encourage people to throwing in other garbage, testing everyone's civic-minded nature. ◆ 追蹤更多華視影音及圖文新聞: 1.用Plurk追蹤華視影音及圖文新聞:追蹤 2.用Twitter追蹤華視影音及圖文新聞:追蹤
