It is the blooming season for the plum blossoms, and with the cold weather, the flowers are looking more beautiful than ever at the Nantou's Hsyinyi Township. The stunning sight will remain captivating until February, and people are already making their way to the mountains despite of the possible traffic congestion. These plum blossoms look like a covering of snow making this a very beautiful scene. Originally closed, these buds blossomed all at the same time, with tourists continuing to come forward with a bright smile. Everyone is bundled up as they view these trees full of flowers as they take out their cameras to photograph the scene. This year's temperature has been wet and cold and Hsinyi Township's plum blossom are especially beautiful and, opening 2 weeks ahead of last year. Hsinyi Township has been known as a plum blossom location, with one of the most famous attractions being the cattle pit, which was one of the earliest areas for these flowers. Most recently, the Wusonglun area has seen plum blossoms since the end of last year. With a succession of cold waves, and low temperatures of 10 degrees or below, this plum flowering period is expected to continue at least until the end of February.
