Most of the reconstruction projects for the 88-flood-hit areas have been completed, and most of the residents are finally able to get back to their normal lives. However, the agricultural industry in southern Taiwan is still in need of the public's help to get their products out there. To help sustain local farmers' livelihood, a charity sale was held in Taichung City to promote their produce.

Fist-sized jujubes are from Dashu area of Greater Kaohsiung.

Papayas are the specialty of Meinon.

These select agricultural products are from disaster-affected areas in Southern Taiwan.

Since the Chinese New Year is coming, these products are to enter the New Year's goods market.

The 88 flooding caused severe damage to Southern Taiwan, especially in agricultural production areas.

Farmers sustain financial losses and find it hard to make a living under such critical conditions.

It's been two years since the disaster struck.

Although reconstruction projects have been completed recently, farmers need help from counties and cities across Taiwan.

A collaboration of public sectors and local farmers is aimed to expand the retailing and marketing channels, hoping to get more attention and care from all public sectors and improve farmers' lives.
