Driven by a passion for aquarium keeping, a 15-year-old girl in Kaohsiung has developed a series of fish tank devices that not only provide more colorful lighting but are less energy consuming. And her creative inventions have already won a number of international patents. The colorful LED light designed by the 15-year-old girl, surnamed Shu, has made the fish in the fish tank look even more beautiful. The young inventor said that traditional lights in fish tanks are energy-consuming and they are oftentimes overheated. So she made a tube that would attract water to cool down the light. To make the light work in water, she turned the alternating current into direct current. She said that her enthusiasm for fish has motivated her to read a lot of books and to improve current fish tank equipments. Over the past two years, she has put her ideas into practice with her professor, and has invented many useful devices, including the CO2 diffuser that turns large bubbles into smaller ones and the automatic feeding device. The CO2 diffuser helps the aquatic grass to absorb CO2 while the automatic feeding device can feed different kinds of medicine at one time. She has filed patent application on these inventions and some companies have purchased patent from her. The creative inventor said that she will continue to design new fish tank devices to make it easier to raise fish. ◆ 追蹤更多華視影音及圖文新聞: 1.用Plurk追蹤華視影音及圖文新聞:追蹤 2.用Twitter追蹤華視影音及圖文新聞:追蹤
