Results of the latest college entrance exam were released yesterday, with a total of 199 test-takers achieving full score this time, the most in 10 years, which educators said may indicate either a general improvement in the students' academic competence, or a reduced level of difficulty of the test questions. The results of this year's college entrance exams are out--199 test-takers achieved perfect scores. Thirty-two of them are from Chien Guo senior high school in Taipei. According to the school, the result is the second best in the decade. What's more, five of them are from social sciences group. Most of these students from the top high schools in Taipei said they didn't spend time in after-school tutorial classes, while some only had extra English or Math classes. College Entrance Examination Center says the number of those achieving perfect scores is setting a new high record this year and the overall grade of the top percentile reached 64 in Percentile Rank, the highest in recent years. While the number of test-takers getting good grades is rising, the center also says that none of the students achieved a perfect score in the essay writing test in the subject of Chinese and 1,868 test-takers got a zero. In the essay writing test in English, nearly 14,000 people got a big fat zero. The grade reports were sent out on Monday and test results are also available online. ◆ 追蹤更多華視影音及圖文新聞: 1.用Plurk追蹤華視影音及圖文新聞:追蹤 2.用Twitter追蹤華視影音及圖文新聞:追蹤
