We love kung fu moves, and we certainly have deep respect for the Founding Father of our nation, Dr. Sun Yat-sen. Now, how about combining the two for a new animated 3-D film? Executive director Justin Chou said, that the upcoming flick, which will hit theaters in both Taiwan and China this October, will be historically accurate with entertaining elements. For many people, Father of the Nation Dr. Sun Yat-sen is the solemn man on the 100 NT bill and school portraits, as well as the revolutionary found in history textbooks. Many films have been made on Sun, the young revolutionary, but a new animated 3-D feature film will depict him as a heroic kung fu master with superpowers. According to executive director and legislator Justin Chou, the film is historically accurate but entertaining enough to attract younger audiences. Because Sun was Cantonese, the producers originally planned on asking a Hong Kong actor to dub his voice. Now, however, the production team hopes that President Ma Ying-jeou can play that role. The film, which is being produced as part of the nation's centennial celebrations, reinterprets the roles and personalities of five historical figures: Sun, Qiu Jing, Lin Juemin, Huang Xing, and Yu Peilun. Lin's "Farewell Letter to My Wife" may be used as one of the film's theme songs. ◆ 追蹤更多華視影音及圖文新聞: 1.用Plurk追蹤華視影音及圖文新聞:追蹤 2.用Twitter追蹤華視影音及圖文新聞:追蹤
