April 4th is also the day to commemorate the death of Dr. Chang Chi-lang and his two sons, who were killed for wrongful claims of being involved in the plan of political assassination during the turmoil of the 228 Incident. As 64 years have passed, the Chang family is still urging the government to investigate into the tragedy and redeem their names after the false accusations that were imposed on the whole family. The National 228 Museum held a special memorial event on April 4th to commemorate a family that was victimized in the aftermath of the 228 Incident. The service was held for Chang Chi-lang, who was killed 64 years ago on April 4th along with his sons Chang Tsung-jen and Chang Kuo-jen.
