A unique exhibition is currently held in a five-star hotel in Taitung, showcasing the paintings of homeless children living in a local Christian charitable institution. The art show is part of its fundraising effort to establish a new branch in Nantou for helping more children in need. The 22 paintings created by children living in Home of Onesiphorus of Taitung County are now being put up for charity auction in a five-star hotel in Chipen hot spring resort. Each painting was done after the children lost their family and projected a beautiful world they imagined in the art therapy class. Most of the paintings were complete years ago. But to help children in Nantou County, others donate their precious works to raise funds for a shelter in Nantou. The Central Taiwan county experienced the massive September 21st earthquake and the 88 flooding. But there are not many institutions that accommodate children losing family functions. Many children were sent to other counties or cities for accommodation. The Taitung-based shelter bought an one-hectare land in Puli township of Nantou County last year to build a shelter in Nantou. The budget falls short of 70 million NTD. A five-star hotel in the Chipen hot spring resort provides a special cultural corridor to help raise funds for the shelter and donates 30,000 NTD to the cause, hoping to encourage more people to join the charity effort and fulfill the children's dream. ◆ 追蹤更多華視影音及圖文新聞: 1.用Plurk追蹤華視影音及圖文新聞:追蹤 2.用Twitter追蹤華視影音及圖文新聞:追蹤
