A biomedical career fair was held last weekend at the National Yang-ming University, featuring more than 100 job opportunities from over 30 employers in the promising industry. And it attracted crowds of job seekers to try their luck. 25-year old research assistant Ms. Yeh graduated over a year ago, and is currently seeking a job in her field of expertise. Mr. Ho, meanwhile, will be completing his graduate degree in just a few weeks and hopes to have a job by the time he graduates. The biomedical technology sector is one of Taiwan's emerging industries, and interest in the sector has grown as the industry has developed. The National Science Council invited academic leaders and executives from technology entities in 31 countries to tour the Hsinchu Science and Technology Park on Friday and explore Taiwan's green energy and biomedical technology industries.
