The Los Angeles musician, Adam Levine, who is known for his role as the guitarist and vocalist of the pop rock band, Maroon 5, has been working extra as the coach for the American talent show, The Voice. And through the program, Levine is able to show the public what he's really like, when he's not singing about girls.

"I don't care what people think most of the time, but it was nice because I think people had a certain idea of who I was based on the music or things they might have heard, but no one really knew who I actually was and it was a nice opportunity to show my personality -- that I have a brain and that I'm not just a singing bimbo that likes girls. It's also true: I am a bimbo and I like to sing and I like girls, but there's more to my personality; it's a little more dynamic than that and I like to show that on the show. It's cool."

The Voice was an instant hit on its first season, and Levine along with pop star Christina Aguilera, took advantage of the immense popularity of it, by first performing "Moves Like Jagger" on the show.

As one of the writers, Levine describes how it was putting together the single, which refers to Rolling Stones frontman Mick Jagger's ability to melt the hearts of the ladies with his moves. The song debuted at number 8 on the Billboard Hot 100, before topping multiple charts around the world, including Canada, Ireland, South Korea, and New Zealand.

"It was fun. Just crazy, Frankenstein, everyone coming in writing and hanging out and it was fun a vibe and it just felt really special. We really were all excited about it when it was happening, thinking this is really cool; people are going to love this. So it was awesome."

As for the future of Maroon 5, the heavily-inked Levine and keyboardist Jesse Carmichael are both promising that they won't let their fans wait too long.

"We're going to make it as quickly as we can. Ride this wave of momentum and keep making music and just keep working."

"Everything's speeding up, you know, so we got to back in the studio quick."

"Moves Like Jagger" is included in the re-release of Maroon 5's latest album, Hands All Over.
