The largest blaze in southeast of Austin, Texas, has destroyed 300 homes and threatened 1,000 others, as it burned through thousands of acres of land, stretching 16 miles in one area of town. More than 5,000 residents have been evacuated, while firefighters battle dozens of other fires across the state.
