KMT Chairman Ma Ying-Jeou has attended a meeting between county magistrates and city mayors, which had been suspended for a while. Ma's appearance was to boost the momentum for the five candidates in the year-end municipality elections. Also, the ruling party wants to create a strong election edge taking advantage of the recently signed ECFA. At the meeting, five candidates of the year-end election were present, showing great unity.
