Many families are already stressing about not being able to pay for their children's tuitions when classes resume.

According to World Vision Taiwan, 450,000 kids are in need of assistance, and the foundation is now calling out for your help and support to raise funds for their educational fees.

Shiao Ju, which will be attending junior high, plays with his friends using his favorite wallet.

He has a small wish, which is to fill his wallet full of money.

Shiao Ju, which is being helped by World Vision Taiwan, likes to play basketball.

He hopes to have a pair of better basketball shoes that can last longer.

Shiao Ting, who lives with her father, hopes to grow up faster, to help him earn money because he is out of a job.

Both children are from poor families with single parents, and are being helped by the foundation.

World Vision Taiwan estimates there 45,000 children in Taiwan with the similiar situation.

The foundation's deputy head, Chen Wei-Ren, says many of the children live in mountain areas.

They must have transport money to go to school or live outside, which requires rent.

World Vision Taiwan said its money raising efforts this year weren't good due to the bad economy and all the donations given for Haiti's earthquake at the beginning of this year.

Now, the foundation is teaming up with companies to help these children.

It also hopes to attract more people and let them know to help these children to successfully go to school.
