With the beaming sunlight, applying SPF lotion has become a must when going outdoors.

According to dermatologist, putting on higher SPF does not mean that you are getting more protection from the UV rays.

Here on CTS, let's take a look at how to use SPF in the right manner, in ensuring you're getting the prevention you need.

It is easy to see pedestrians of Taiwan using parasols, hat and wearing sunglasses in the summertime to try to block out UV light in addition to applying sun block., including the waterproof version ; most range from SPF 10 to 100.

Most people would think that the higher the SPF the better the lotion is.

In fact, dermatologist pointed out that sun block of SPF 30 work pretty much the same as those with SPF 50 or SPF 100, with UV light blockage protection result being within 5% of difference.

According to foreign research reports, the high the SPF of a lotion, the higher risk of skin cancer for many people believe that there is no need to reapply the sun block after the initial application.

Dermatologist suggest the initial application to be 15 minutes before leaving home while reapply every 2-3 hours, or after sweating or swimming, to prevent skin from being damaged under the sun.
