Mr. Yeh from Taipei is a laidback backpacker vacationing inTaitung City's Li Jia mountain district. But this year, his vacation will take on a slightly different style.

Instead of a relaxing, Mr. Yeh will be flexing his muscles on the mountain farms.

Like Mr. Yeh, three other backpackers have chosen to brave the blistering heat and mosquitoes to chop bamboo. Their vacation is far from relaxing, but these happy campers don't mind at all.

These people have escaped the bustling nature of the city to be with nature. Not only must they do hard labor, they also must cook their own food.

This unmaterialistic lifestyle has now become a popular way of vacationing. Backpackers come and go, with each of them leaving with introspection and new experience.
