In showing his immense support for Taipei City Mayor Hau Lung-pin, KMT Secretary-General King Pu-tsung has expressed approval for Hau's recent city government personnel changes, saying that it would help reduce further attacks from the DPP regarding the latest scandal. Taipei City Department of Health Commissioner Allen Chiu will be replacing the deputy mayor seat, in making sure that the Flora Expo will have a significant outcome. At 7:30 a.m. on Wednesday, KMT Secretary-General King Pu-tsung and the KMT's Tainan mayor candidate, Kuo Tien-tsai, departed for Japan to learn about Kyoto's experience in developing its tourism and cultural industries. In regards to Taipei City Mayor Hau Lung-pin's campaign, which has been beset by the Flora Expo corruption scandal, King expressed approval for the Taipei City Government personnel changes implemented earlier this week and further said that he and the party would do everything in their power to aid Hau's campaign in whatever capacity is needed. In the wake of the resignations of Taipei City Deputy Mayor Lee Yong-ping and three other officials earlier this week, Hau has named Taipei City Department of Health Commissioner Allen Chiu as Lee's replacement. Chiu, who is also the chairman of the Urological Association of Asia, will be drawing on his experience of hosting international medical symposiums to ensure the success of the Flora Expo. The KMT hopes that the personnel changes will help win back the trust of voters before they head to the polls in November. ◆ 追蹤更多華視影音及圖文新聞: 1.用Plurk追蹤華視影音及圖文新聞:追蹤 2.用Twitter追蹤華視影音及圖文新聞:追蹤
