We are well aware with the universal "No Smoking" sign, but have you ever seen a symbol that represents "No" to secondhand smoke?

Well, you're about to visualize it at an anti-smoking competition in Hsinchu. The little ones are voicing their thoughts and concerns through their self-created illustrations.

Children of all ages gathered on Thursday for an anti-smoking event. Everyone is familiar with the universal "No Smoking" sign, which features a lit cigarette with a red line drawn through it.

At the competition, children came up with a number of "No Smoking" hand signals.

Organized and sponsored by the Hsinchu City Bureau of Health at the local zoo, the event was held in the hopes of planting anti-smoking seeds from a young age.

Children responded by expressing their opposition to smoking and secondhand smoke, and said that they hope adults will hear their pleas and provide them with a smoke-free environment to grow up in.
