Thousands of White Rose demonstrators are voicing out their disappointment with the judicial court's ruling of several child molestation cases, by walking on the Ketagalan Boulevard in front of the Presidential Office over the weekend.

The public is calling for the government's attention for more just trials and to replace judges that are not qualified in making fair verdicts.

Wearing black tops, parents walk with their white- clad children to the White Roses event.

Each person held a White Rose to signify the need for a pure judicial system, hoping judges would issue heavier sentences to perpetrators of child abuse.

Several recent cases of judges handing light sentences to child predators have spawned an Facebook petition calling for the elimination of incompetent judges.

The petition, which has collectively gathered more than 300 thousand people, later progressed into the White Roses movement at the Ketagalan Boulevard, where thousands of people were in attendance.

Many civil groups are urging the government to quickly pass new draft bill to inspect and evaluate judges and replace incompetent judges.

In addition, they are calling to raise the minimum age for sex abuse victims from 7 to 14 years old.

The Presidential Palace has issued a press release stating President Ma supports the bill and will draft a protocol for the inspection and evaluation of judges and the elimination of incompetent judges.
