Thirteen children with multiple disabilities recently starred in a new theatrical production sponsored by civic groups and the Colala Theater Troupe. They have been working hard to overcome their physical and linguistic difficulties and memorize their lines, and their efforts were rewarded with applause from the audience. These children move their hands as they concentrate on performing the correct dance steps. They were taught their lines word by word, and have worked hard over the past year to memorize the script. Having overcome their linguistic difficulties, the children on the stage shine with a newfound self-confidence. According to their teacher, the experience has not only helped the children mature, but also understand the importance of cooperation and interaction with others. Many of their parents say that theater therapy has brought about miraculous changes in their children. The entire cast of the musical, which is an adaptation of "Pinocchio" with environmental themes, suffers from multiple disabilities. Taking part in the production has not only helped the children become better acquainted with themselves, but also gain a new perspective on the importance of environmental conservation. ◆ 追蹤更多華視影音及圖文新聞: 1.用Plurk追蹤華視影音及圖文新聞:追蹤 2.用Twitter追蹤華視影音及圖文新聞:追蹤
