Taipei County Magistrate Chou His-wei has officially accepted the post of KMT comrade Eric Chus campaign headquarters chairman. Chou will be on leave from his administrative duties until election day to devote himself to campaign activities. But the arrangement has already drawn criticism from the DPP for compromising the principle of neutrality. The KMT is unifying their forces once again for the Xinbei City election. Fifty days before the election, Taipei County Magistrate Chou Hsi-wei announced that he will be chairing candidate Eric Chu's campaign headquarters. Posing together and shaking hands, the two received immense support from KMT legislators. Besides Chou, two deputy Taipei county magistrates, Tsai Chia-fu and Lee Shu-chan will be acting as vice chairmen for the campaign. The Secretary-General of the Taipei county government, Lin Xin-qin will be the Honorary General Secretary of the campaign, while vice Secretary-General Liao Rong-qing will act as the vice general. Although Chou has emphasized that he will take an official leave of absence to participate in the election, DPP candidate Tsai Ing-wen is questioning whether the KMT is maintaining a neutral administration. After spending a night at a Jinguashi hostel, Tsai is continuing her street-sweeping agenda, surmising that Chu has implemented his full force already; any new additions to their campaign team, she believes, will have no effect on the outcome of the election. ◆ 追蹤更多華視影音及圖文新聞: 1.用Plurk追蹤華視影音及圖文新聞:追蹤 2.用Twitter追蹤華視影音及圖文新聞:追蹤
