Through a recent research, the Taipei Veteran Hospital has discovered that drinking red wine can indeed increase the developments of good cells, and can help repair the lining of cells on the inside of the arteries called endothelial cells. These cells carry on multiple significant functions including a major role in the regulation of your blood pressure. Doctors say, red wine should be consumed in a moderate amount: 100 cc each time, and once or twice a week.

More and more people in Taiwan now are into drinking red wine.

And many more also believe that red wine can increase the circulation in the cardiovascular system.

According to a recent finding from the Taipei Veteran Hospital, drinking red wine indeed improves health.

Having 80 volunteers age 20 to 40 years old, and dividing them up in four groups, the research has found that for those who drank 100c.c. per day after three weeks, comparing to those who drank beer, vodka, and non-alcoholic ones, the ones who had red wine have improvement in their vascular endothelial growth up to 20 to 30%.

In other words, drinking red wine can improve lowering the chances of atherosclerosis and strokes from happening.

However, doctors also warn that moderation is also important.

So for drinks that have an alcohol content of more than 10% should not be consumed to more than 30c.c. per day; however, for those who already suffer from cirrhosis, drinking should be limited to the minimal.

In order to have a drink and have some improvement in health, the doctors say that the frequency should only be limited to once or twice a week with moderated amount.
