What started out as a casual attempt at homemade candies has now become a lucrative business. A housewife in Kaohsiung invented a new kind of candy to satisfy her husband's sweet tooth, and it turned out to be way more popular than she expected. So she later began to sell the product online, generating an average revenue of 200,000 NT dollars per month.

Chou Hsiu-lin could never have imagined that her homemade candy would be such a hit.

"Martian candy" is made by boiling malt sugar and then slowly adding hot milk.

Next, macadamia nuts and almonds are added and the mixture is cooled, rolled out, and sliced. Mrs. Chou is now earning close to 200,000 NT per month in online sales, with revenues shooting up to one million NT per month during Chinese New Year.

When asked why she started making candy, Chou says that her husband has a sweet tooth, and that she decided to make her candy available online after getting good feedback from her friends and family.

Each piece is flavorful and satisfying, and chewy without sticking to the teeth.

Chou has transformed from an ordinary housewife into a successful entrepreneur, and is now ruling over a candy kingdom!
