Following a recognition by the Time Magazine, the philanthropic vegetable vendor Chen Shu-chu is once again honored by an international institute, winning the Asian Hero Award by the Readers Digest.

The Taitung vegetable vender Chen Shu Ju just returned from Hong Kong for receiving her Caring Award and found out that she was awarded the Heros Award from Readers Digest.

But, as usual, Chen would only comment on vegetable selling and not on the awards.

After Sutherby and Time magazines honors of one of the most influential people, Chen received more honors as many people from around the country sent their greeting to congratulate her as she proudly displays them at her vegetable stand.

Chen has received many top international honors within this year, many of her customers are happy for her.

Chen is an ordinary traditional market vender, who saved over 10 million NT dollar plus to help those in need, the selfless act that, indeed, is worthy of the honors.
