For the ninth consecutive year, players of the Chinese Professional Baseball League visited elementary schools in rural areas of Taiwan to provide their baseball teams with sorely needed gear. The CPBL hopes that by helping young players, more talents can be discovered in the future to enrich the sport and excite its fans. The CPBL baseball truck is starting again and Chang Tai-shan and other baseball players are bringing gloves and bats to Kaohsiung, Penghu, and Chiayi. They will be visiting remote areas and outer islands boosting Little League team. These groups not only lack equipment but also uniforms which are passed down. Chang Cheng-Wei is enjoying his second year in the league and will be under the leadership of Chang Tai-shan. Together they are participating in this activity as they tell all children that they should not feel pressure when playing baseball. This year, the truck will be operating for the ninth consecutive year, and past participants have included Wang Chien-ming and table tennis star Chiang Peng-lung as well as politicians interested in baseball. Each one has shown an active interest in cultivating more grassroots baseball players. ◆ 追蹤更多華視影音及圖文新聞: 1.用Plurk追蹤華視影音及圖文新聞:追蹤 2.用Twitter追蹤華視影音及圖文新聞:追蹤
