According to the Ministry of Interior, there are 750,000 single-parent families in Taiwan. The number will exceed one million if it includes families with parents working in different cities. In order to help, the National Alliance of Taiwan Women's Associations is collaborating with local groups in building a network to provide classes for them, such as counseling sessions, family relationship courses, and work training services.

It's not easy for find a suitable job that accommodates his lifestyle.

But thanks to the single-parent service station in Taoyuan, he gets the assistance and is willing to assist other single-parent families to get through the hardship.

Currently, there are 18 single-parent family service stations across Taiwan.

The National Alliance of Taiwan Women's Associations also say that the diverse styles of single-parent families caused by work, business, divorce, death of spouse and other factors contribute to the exceedingly high number of single-parent families in Taiwan, which is over 1 million.

The Associations hope that people can be generous and lend a helping hand to such families and encourage single-parent families to be strong with the power of community help.
