In Taichung, the transition to municipality has been largely smooth but far from perfect. Many city employees had a hard time finding parking spaces for their scooters around the new government building, while some visiting citizens spent more than an hour looking for the right office for their requests.

Many workers from the city hall are waiting in front of the Yangming Building to get on the shuttle bus to go to the new City Hall building in Xituen District.

The bus ride only takes 30 minutes without the hassle of finding a parking space, comparing to those who ride their own scooter or drive their own car, taking the bus seems like the way to go.

Even though not many citizens are at the one-stop counter, for some, the new city hall can be a challenge due to its massive size.

On the other hand, the phones in the Bureau of Social Affairs has also been ringing off the hook, seems like there is still much organization to be established in the new office.

In order to cope with the possible influx of traffic between Fengyuan and Taichung City, the government had prepared a dozen of shuttle buses, however, in the end, only seven were used and it seems like the traffic is not so bad after all.
