President Ma Ying-jeou has appointed 24 individuals as senior advisors and 75 national policy advisors to the Presidential Office. One of the senior advisors is Mr. Kao Chin-Yen, the current chairman of Uni-President Enterprise Corp, who Ma hopes to consult to help the government in reviving the country's economy. The newly opened department store in Xinyi district of Taipei City has attracted thousands of visitors. The convenient stores are running out of dolls that are part of the promotional program. The company owns more than 4,800 convenient stores throughout Taiwan, with the market share exceeding 50%. The driving force behind the great success is 82-year-old Kao Chin-Yen. The Tainan native lives a simple life but welcomes forward thinking. No wonder he makes a lot money. He's a hands-on and low-profile boss. Even when presidential candidates paid a visit to his company and his employees scrambled to take pictures with them, he simply stepped aside to let employees enjoy the moment. In the new year, President Ma appointed Kao as senior advisors to the president and hopes to follow his advices and revive the country's economy. ◆ 追蹤更多華視影音及圖文新聞: 1.用Plurk追蹤華視影音及圖文新聞:追蹤 2.用Twitter追蹤華視影音及圖文新聞:追蹤
