The La New Bears of CPBL was officially renamed as the Lamigo Monkeys on Thursday, which will be relocated from Kaohsiung to Taoyuan. With an average age of 27, the team features the youngest roster in the league, and the players vow to clinch their first championship this year.

La New bear became a name of the past for it is changing the team name to Lamigo Monkeys and the team is moving its home court to Taoyuan from Kaohsiung.

The change surprised the fans. Head coach Hung Yi Chung and team member Chen Jing Feng assured the fans that the team is going to beat out all other 3 teams.

The La New group took over the former First financial holdings Agan and formed the La New bears.

The team took the bottom ranking for the first 3 years, but with the addition of Chen Jing Feng, it took the championship in 2006.

At the end of 2009, more than 10 players were involved in game fixing scandal.

After a year of re-organization, the new team, with the average age of 27 year-old, is ready to aim for the championship and get itself out of the scandal.
