When the weather is good, farmers quickly harvest colorful peppers in the farm.Due to the cold front this year, the production volume of such pepers is sliding sharply while the quality is actually better than previous years.

Usually in winter it is the production season of sweet peppers.

But there are several waves of cold fronts this year, which slowed down the growth of sweet peppers and cutting the production volume.

Given the rising demand, the prices are going up too.

According to staff at farmers' association, the plantation area for colorful peppers in Er-lun township is smaller than before, which is also one of the factors that influence the prices.

But as companies are going to host year-end parties, it's estimated that the demand of colorful pepper will rise, there is still room for price hike.
