Renowned Taiwanese sculptor Ju Ming has presented his latest creations, Cube, which is inspired by the master's reflection on civilization and natural science. The series will be exhibited at JuMing Museum starting February 3rd. The pure white block is locked inside a black square and cage of string. Sculptor Chu Ming says that his newest series was inspired by civilization and natural science, and that the three-dimensional pieces are aimed at exploring the relationship between human civilization and the natural sciences. The sculptures symbolize how buildings or cubic structures restrict the living space of humans, human creativity, and humanistic development. Chu believes that cubic shapes don't occur in nature and were created by mankind, but former Academia Sinica President Lee Yuan-tseh disagrees. Regardless, the artist has dedicated his life to not only creating art, but also reflecting on life. ◆ 追蹤更多華視影音及圖文新聞: 1.用Plurk追蹤華視影音及圖文新聞:追蹤 2.用Twitter追蹤華視影音及圖文新聞:追蹤
