Taipei City's Lao Song Elementary School is already 115 years old. It previously held the record for the world's oldest elementary school. The school has seen the change in Taiwanese demographics in the last 100 years. During the height of school in 1966, there were 11,110 students enrolled. The school's sports field was limited and only upper classmen attended the flag raising ceremony. Students needed to be divided into two groups to go to the bathroom. But as birth rates decline, the school is left with less than 1,000 kids. This old man points to a photograph of the old principal on the wall and said he missed those times. The exhibit also showcased books, student grades, and yearbooks from the Japanese era. There was also an old uniform of Chung Shan Girls High School.
