Taiwan's renowned dance choreographer Lee Tseg-eh has just published her memoir at her 86th birthday. But her steps won't stop there. Through the collaboration with Taiwanese and Japanese artists, she's going to present her latest work at the end of the year.

During the opening ceremony of the 2009 World Games, Lee Tseg-o dressed up as Mother Earth and performed a five-minute solo on a six-meter high stage.

Lee celebrated her 86th birthday on Monday, and performed an improvisational dance to the theme of Spanish film "Talk To Her."

Dressed in a purple dance costume, Lee impressed everyone with her graceful movements and light steps.

She modestly said that she is not a natural speaker, and that her life's sorrows and joys are expressed through dance.

The Kaohsiung City Archives recently commissioned National Kaohsiung Normal University Assistant Professor Yang Yue-tzu to undertake an oral history project on Lee's life.

According to Yang, she learned a great deal from spending time with Lee and has developed a deep appreciation for Lee's passion for dance.

Lee says that she will be honoring the 50th anniversary of Japanese modern dance pioneer Ishii Baku's death in her annual production, which will be choreographed by a team of Taiwanese and Japanese dancers.
