How are the schools handling the stray animals in their areas? Some are building fences to keep them out, while some are taking them in as guard dogs. Here on CTS, let's take you to see the duties of these loyal canines on campuses.

In 2008, a third grade student from the Hsinchu Science and Technological Park Experimental High school's Elementary Division was bitten in the courtyard by a stray dog.

The student's middle finger was bitten and the parents sue the school for not maintaining the campus, but instead exposed their students to danger.

The court later ordered the school to pay the student NT1.3 million.

After the ruling, the school set up fences around to prevent stray dogs from coming into the campus.

However, ChungHua University is treating stray dogs differently, with a HaoDai becoming the patrol dog of the campus from a stray dog.

There are 7 other stray dogs on campus with official names from the school.

Those dogs with collars would patrol the campus with the school not worrying that they would bite people for they have been hand picked to be the official school.

Nine years ago, ChungHua University association of life care was formed, with the school helping to build a doghouse to gather all stray dogs on campus there.

The dogs were cleaned, fed and neutered and were put on display for adoption, which solved the stray dogs issue and allowed students to learn how to respect life in the process of learning.
