There may be nothing new about real actors interacting with animated ones on screen, but have you ever seen glove puppets sharing a scene with human characters? Well, that's going to happen in a new film currently under production in Yunlin. And the new movie will showcase not only the traditional art form of glove puppetry, but also the beauty of Yunlin County.

In Khan Lee's new film, puppet and human versions of Shih Yen-wen perform together. The comedy is being shot on location in Yunlin County and draws on Yunlin's traditional puppet theater culture.

In recent years, many cities and counties have begun working with the film industry to promote local tourism through location shots. "Cape No. 7" has transformed Hengchun into a popular tourist destination, while "Black and White" has done the same for Kaohsiung.

Lee's film has the full support of the Yunlin County Government, and several scenes are being shot in three-section compounds unique to the area.

The film tells of the difficulties faced by traditional puppet theater as it struggles to find a place in modern society.

According to Lee, the combination of cutting-edge technology and traditional culture and art will allow audiences to become acquainted with the beauty of Yunlin.

The 40-minute short film will premiere at the end of the year in theaters and will also be available for mobile viewing.
